FROM BARCELONA (BCN)
Barcelona Airport to Sants Train Station
The train connecting the airport to the city center is the R2N (North). It leaves every 30 minutes from the Airport Terminal 2, and reaches Barcelona Sants Train Station in just 20 minutes.
If you are landing at T1, you will have to use the free airport shuttle bus that runs 24/7 from one terminal to the other. The bus operates on a 5-7-minute frequency. Traveling time from T1 to T2 takes approximately 10 minutes.
The R2 Nord Trains have available routes from 5:42 am to 11:38 pm. Their ticket is 4.60€/4.60$, while children under 4 years of age don’t pay for their tickets. You can get your ticket from the airport’s automatic machines. Conveniently, automatic ticket vendors accept both cash and credit cards.
Barcelona Sants Train Station to Perpignan
The RENFE offers direct trains from Barcelona to Perpignan. The trip costs about 35€ and takes 1h22.
The SNCF also offers direct trains from Barcelona to Perpignan but for a higher price, around 65€.
Booking the train tickets in advance is recommended.
FROM PARIS CDG (CHARLES DE GAULLE)
Paris CDG airport is directly connected to the railroad network, here are the steps to book your trip to Perpignan via rail.
Visit the SNCF connect website to see your train options and book your tickets from “Aeroport Cdg2 Tgv Roissy” to “Perpignan”. Trip usually takes about 5h30, for about 100-150€/pers in 2nd class. Some trains are direct, while some require a transfer at Valence TGV with very minimal impact on the duration of the trip.
Note that the website only shows itineraries for the next ~3 months. Schedules should be fairly consistent though, with a minimum of 2 trains a day.
Getting to the SNCF railway station from your terminal
The SNCF railway station is located between Terminals 2C, 2D, 2E and 2F. It is served by the free CDGVAL shuttle train (from Terminals 1 and 3). Once in Terminal 2, use the moving walkways and follow signs for “TGV Railway Station”.
Two types of trains are departing from this station: regional trains going to Paris (RER), and high-speed trains / mainlines going to various parts of France (TGV – Grandes lignes). Find a monitor showing the next TGV/mainlines departures and locate your train number and gate. Gates are usually displayed about 30 minutes prior to departure.

FROM PARIS ORY (ORLY)
Some Airlines like FrenchBee will land in Paris Orly instead of Paris Charles de Gaulle.
In this case the best way to reach your destination is to book a domestic flight to Perpignan with Transavia airline. There are usually 2 flights per day for about 111-136€/pers including luggage, departing from Terminal 3.
Note that depending on how you book your itinerary, you might need to collect your luggage and check them in manually at Terminal 3, so give yourself enough time to go through customs and security.
